Exotic Velvet-purple Coronet Hummingbirds
The two Velvet-purple Coronet hummingbirds (from Ecuador and Colombia) sit balanced on a polymer covered wire among yellow flowers. They are made of polymer clay with a wire armature. No paint is involved. The wire is attached to a base of manzanita. These birds are recognizable by the the artist's rendition of field marks. The feathers are individually placed on these exotic hummingbirds.
